Isaiah45:9
“What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, ‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’ Does the pot exclaim, ‘How clumsy can you be?’
It’s one thing to converse with the Lord. To ask Him questions and seek clarity on things you may not understand. But it is a completely different to argue with the Lord, just to find yourself disrespectfully exchanging words with Him and saying anything that come to your mind without thinking. The times we find ourselves doing this the most are the times when things aren’t well in our lives. The seasons in which we feel the Lord ought to do A,B,C. In some of our lives when things begin to turn sour we ourselves become monsters. We disrespect authorities, mistreat our families and loved ones, partake in ill deals and many more. That’s when we really begin to see the foul nature of our hearts.
How can we as clay argue and insult the one who has our very breath at His disposal? But we do. Understand that the Lord owes us nothing but He chooses to give us everything. Do not resort to arguing with the Lord when things do not go your way. Do not use blame and logic and other means to disrespect the Lord. He is the potter and He knows how to work out His clay. Obedience is Key. Be careful in how you speak to the Lord. Yes He is God your father and you can speak comfortably to Him. But remember that He is also God the Holy One and He deserves to be referenced.
