Teach Me Your Will

February 22

It’s mind blowing what we claim with our mouths in the absence of our hearts. How we cry with our mouths “let your will be done” while our hearts wail let mine will prevail. Majority of the time we give half of ourselves to God. We tell God to have His way in our lives but we refuse to give everything to Him. When we tell God to let His will be done we have to trust that what He will do is better than what we can ever do.

We cannot have His will mixed in with a little bit of ours. It’s is either His will all the way or nothing at all. Our daily prayer should be for God to teach us to do His will day in and day out. It is my prayer that we all get to a place where we are content with what we have and where we have reached. Life will not always be filled with roses but we can rest assured that if God’s will is being done then we are better than anything else. Let us check our hearts and the words of our mouths to ensure they coincide because we do ourselves more harm by deceiving ourselves that we want God’s will done in our lives when in actuality we only want our own selfish gain.

Trust in Him because your worst day in the Lord will always be far greater than your best day outside of Him. Trust Him enough to know that He has your best interest at heart and that He is working for you and with you but not against you.

Psalm 143:10

“Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.”
