Ephesians 1:5
“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love”
It is very easy for one to be deceived when he or she does not know the truth. If we allow the truth to elude us, we then allow the unnecessary things of the world the power to captivate our hearts and our attention. It is when and only when we know our true identity and what we have been called to do that we are able to live life in the manner in which we are to live it. If you do not know who you are you will easily fall for anything and follow anyone without question. When you do not know your identity you run the risk of digging a grave for yourself.
For the Scriptures said He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. Without the knowledge of this truth we will be lost. As part of our identities we have been chosen to be holy and to be blameless. We must be holy even as He is holy. It is in Him and through Him that we have the power to exude holiness. As one who is chosen by God Himself what you identify with and the life in which you live is different than that of the world. As His holy one you do not have the luxury of living carelessly. There must be thoughts put into the way you live your life. In terms of your speech, your actions, the way you dress, the way you interact with people and the way in which you represent yourself. Yes He chose you before the beginning of time and before the beginning of time your identity was made known but it is in Him and Him alone that you will come to know this true identity. Therefore search in Him and you shall surely find.
