Deuteronomy 10:13
“And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the LORD your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul.”

Life will have some level of ease if we genuinely, truly and whole heartedly love the Lord. You would be able to please the Lord and do the things you struggle now to do if your love for the Lord was deeper. In reality no one hurts the one they love. If you love someone you will not cause them pain. If you love someone you take all your actions into consideration making sure you do not intentionally  hurt them. When you truly love someone you do the things you know their heart desires. You do not hurt them consistently or do the things they despise constantly only to say a meaningless “I am sorry”.

Loving someone causes you to treat them differently. It causes you to put their heart and their desires before yourself. It causes you to do the things that bring smiles to their face and peace to their heart. When you love someone your actions of love towards them comes naturally. In the same way when you love God your heart seeks to please Him and your spirit seeks to commune daily with His Spirit. When you love the Lord you despise anything that will cause you to grieve His Spirit. In the same way your heart seeks please those you truly love, so should it seek to please and honor the Lord if you truly love Him. Check your heart. How much does your actions prove that you love God? Maybe it’ll prove you love the Lord, maybe it’ll prove you’ve been living a lie all along. God is love and His Spirit enables us to love Him. Give yourself over to Him and He will help you even in the places you cannot seem to crossover.
