Acts 7:20-22“At this time Moses was born, and was well pleasing to God; and he was brought up in his father’s house for three months. But when he was set out, Pharaoh’s daughter took him away and brought him up as her own son. And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and deeds.”
On most days we say to ourselves and to others that God is in control which He is, but life will take in a whole new meaning when we believe the truth of that Statement. Looking into scripture and seeing the happening in the life of Moses is a perfect reminder of this truth. In one moment Moses is born and the the next his life is in utter danger. In the very next moment his mother makes a decision to save his life and that decision prevails. From the moment he is born until the moment he was taken, the Lord was in control. Take a look at the time his mother set him in the water to save him, with all the danger and chaos of the time how is it that one of the soldiers killing the babies did not find him but rather it was in the lap of the Pharaoh’s daughter he landed in? This is because God was in control.
He was raised with the very people who were looking to kill him and given all the privileges and advantages of that land. It was not by mere chance that the Pharaoh’s daughter found him, it was by the doing of the Lord. God kept Him in his time as a son in the Pharaoh’s house. He kept him and was in control when He ran away to the land of Midian. He was in control when he exposed him to the burning bush and remained in control as he used Him to bring the Israelites out of captivity. Look, God works in ways we may never understand and beyond that he has a way of using everything whether good or bad that happens in our life’s as a part of our journey to reach the calling He has for us. Just as God was in control of Moses life from the very beginning whether in great grace or misfortune, so is He in your life. Do not forget that God is in control of your life and allow him to bring to fruition the plans He has for you. Trust His plans even when you walk through darkness. He is God.
