Mattew 7:21
““Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”
Knowing the name of God does not guarantee you a place in heaven. Unfortunately we live in a world where people think as long as they know God’s name they are saved. As nice as that sounds, that is the furtherest thing from the truth. Incase you have forgotten demons know His name as well and they know the power it carries, but as we all know, no demons is getting into heaven. This clearly means that familiarity alone does not guarantee you life or position.
Knowing Him alone is not enough. You must also do His will. The reality is knowing Him births a desire in us to do His will. Therefore if you claim to know Him yet you do not have any desire to do His will and to please Him, then you must ask yourself if you really know Him. The chances are probably not. Desire to do His will and put forth effort into knowing Him on a deeper level than you have ever known Him. Surface knowledge is not enough so push and He will meet you wherever you are.
