Mark 6:31
Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.”
He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat.
Do you have a quiet place, if so, how often you spend time in this place? If we are bold enough, to be honest with ourselves, we can attest to the fact that we are nothing without God. We will know that we need to spend every moment of our lives with our savior and that we consistently need to visit our quiet place. Life will not slow down for anyone of us. Circumstances will not consider us without the Lord‘s intervention. Life, as you know, can only be successful if the Lord’s intervention and grace is part of it. Life has its busy and hectic moments, but we cannot allow that to determine the course of our relationship with the Lord.
Irrespective of life We should always make time to spend with the Lord. We ought to visit Him and spend quality time with Him, time that is without question. Furthermore, we have no reason to limit ourselves on how we spend time with the Lord. Your quiet place can be your car, your shower, your work-study, your bedroom, one of the random closets in your house that nobody uses, it can be anywhere. The Lord is not as concerned with the location in which to communicate with Him as He is with you communicating. So identify what your quiet place is and spend some time there. Make it a habit to always spend time in that place. Give no excuses because that place will be what you make it. Find rest in Him and lean on Him.
