Mark 4:40
Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
Many things in life can cause you to be afraid, and different seasons will inevitably bring new challenges. There are times where your finances, or your academics, your reputation in society, or a relationship on the verge of destruction can create fear. These and many other things that can frighten us. In all things however, we need not to allow fear grip us. The honest truth is even though we are walking with the Lord, we still stand a chance of allowing fear overpower us. Someone who has been walking with the Lord for 20 years, yet always they toss and turn about their next meal. This is because their faith wavers at the sight of troubles. The truth is simple, it does not matter how long you have been walking with the Lord if you have faith is not grounded and planted firm you will go nowhere.
As humans, being afraid in certain situations is inevitable. There are some things that you sometimes just cannot shake off, but if you have faith, these things will have no rule over you. If you have faith, you can stand and withstand everything that comes your way, every trial, and every victory. The focus in life is not about being fearless, but rather about having faith in the one who can do all things. Because being fearless does not bring about faith; however, having faith can bring about a sense of fearlessness. Have faith in the Lord and do not be afraid. Know in all things that Jesus is Lord.
