2 Peter 3:9
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
We live in a world where everyone wants everything right now, this moment, and they expect to receive instantly. We are in a world where patience and waiting is painful for anyone to do. For this reason many people rush into many issues. Many make decisions without without thinking of pros and cons because they are unwilling to wait. For this same reason many people have ceased consulting God for decisions in their life. Individual don’t want to wait on the Lord because they think He is slow in His works. What most of us do not realize is that God is a complete God. Being that He is a complete God He thinks of everything in its entirety. He looks at every possible turn and corner. He even looks into the future for the outcome that our decisions and actions will breed.
Furthermore, being that He knows everything and can see everything He makes decisions that will keep us from harms way. He is not slow, He is simply precise and He is wisdom. He knows what is best for us and for that reason He will say no when necessary. However most of the times He simply wants us to wait until the time is right. He wants to protect and keep us.
Truth of the matter is God is not confined by Time. He has time in His hand and He controls as He pleases. He works outside of times constraints. He is working outside the constraints that we have to make life wonderful for us. He is patient and He is grounded in Himself. Do not allow the circumstances of life the power to determine who God is. He is a good God and He is in control of everything. Trust in Him and know that He controls time. It is not over until God speaks. He has you in the palm of His hands. Be patient and watch Him work.
