“And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city, until ye be clothed with power from on high.”
Often times we run ahead of go. We go our own way without consideration of what He wants from us. Our hastiness however never lands us anywhere. If we do everything with God and make every decision with we will begin to experience change in our lives.
Let us learn to be on one accord with the Lord. To keep the same pace as He. When we are in alignment with the Lord we give Him space to be Lord in our lives. Reflect today. Think back to the decisions you made this year. Think back to every step you have taken , and ask yourself where was God in this? Ask yourself when and where did I tarry for the Lord? When did I wait at the feet of His throne to receive His direction.
In each of our lives we have a phase that requires us to tarry, to seek Him beyond ourselves. The question is do we actually tarry in these season or do we give up. Do we just throw in the towel convincing ourselves that it is something we didn’t need to begin with? Our impatience causes us to miss out on many lessons and blessings that God has for us. So as you sleep this night, remember the times you had an opportunity to tarry with the Lord but failed and purpose in your heart that you will do better.
Learn to tarry, to wait in patience for your father and you will be glad you did.
