Focus On Today

July 9

Matthew 6:34

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries.

Every day will come with troubles of its own. The troubles of today are enough for today. Do not be bothered or bogged down by the things you have no control over. Pray about everything and commit it into the hands of the Lord. Most times the very root of worry is fear. We fear what could have been, or that venture we took that didn’t quite work out.

All these fears, fear of the unknown, fear of the known and all that it comes with is able to easily tainted the security we find in God. We cannot allow fear to overtake us and or even allow worry to creep into our thoughts. God did not give us the spirit of fear, rather of love, power and of a sound mind. Therefore we ought to place our confidence in Christ Jesus, that He will provide and comfort us. So rather than wasting our time in worrying, let’s spend it in prayer and in equipping ourselves with the Word.

Let not your worry divert your minds and your thoughts. Focus on today. On what you can do to build yourself and the Kingdom at large. Do not let yesterday or tomorrow put you in a down casted place. Let God take care of everything and you focus on what you have been given control over.
