Proverbs 17:13
“Evil will never leave the house of one who pays back evil for good.”
What we do in response to the good done unto us is very critical. Sometimes most of us feel very entitled to everything and because of this, we overlook the good that is done to us. So rather than being grateful and showing appreciation for what we have received, we begin to criticize the ones who did good unto us. Some of us also deliberately do evil to those who do good unto us because in our minds we deserve much more than what they give unto us. So in our minds, we say how dare he or she give me such menial thing, after all, I have done. (so we ask the question, do they know who I am?)
Everything that we do have its consequences. Therefore we ought to be careful with the decisions that we make because every action we take will have its blessings or repercussion. Do not dwell on such a great sense of entitlement, so much so that we become evil for the good that is done unto us. Do not plant evil in your own house with your own hands. Payback good with good and even evil with good. That is what makes a difference between you and the world. Do not feel so entitled because all you have is by the grace and mercies of the Most High, not your own strength.
