1 Corinthians 13:2
If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.
Love is very crucial and essential in the life of every Christian. It is one of the greatest commands we have been given. We are told that it because of Gods great love for His people that He sent His son to the cross for the sake of our salvation. It was God’s love for us that caused Him to turn a blind eye to His Sons’ death and suffering so that we can live. We then come to see that without love, we have nothing. In all honesty, if we have all the riches of this land, and highest social standard, yet lack love, then we have nothing.
The problem with many of us Christians is that our motive of love is on our own accord and based on our strength. We must understand that without God, the pure element of love is impossible in our own vain. It is in God and with God that we are able to love those around us as they ought to be loved. In the absence of God, we force our way of loving on people without taking the time to love them individually. When God is involved He gives us the grace to love everyone in a manner unique to them. Love is a beautiful thing and as we all desire and love let us learn to love in God and with God. And the bottom line is as we have seen in Scripture if we have everything the world have to offer yet lack love then we indeed have nothing. So let us love with the heart of God through His grace and His mercy. Love indeed is the greatest of all. Not any kind of love, but the love that flows from the heart of the Father.
