Salvation is something God freely gives us. The most expensive yet inexpensive thing that we can ever acquire. It’s neither something we can buy nor is it something that we can work for. For the love of man, God gave His only begotten Son that we may have a chance at life. He gave Him up that we may be saved. Our salvation isn’t by virtue of what we have accomplished but rather by virtue of His Love and His Grace. He does not require us to labor to receive salvation. What it takes is our hearts.
For His word says in Romans 10:9-10 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” It is as simple as it gets if we confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts then we will be saved. Secondly, there isn’t a specified time nor place that you have to be saved. It is not mandatory that you give your life to God in the mist of thousands of people at a conference or in front of your friends at church. The venue does not in any way matter as the condition of the heart does. Our hearts must be pure and genuine.
So even in this moment whether in your living room or bedroom, whether at a friends house or anywhere else that seems unconventional, you can still give your life to God and accept His salvation. Just confess out of the pureness of your heart, with your mouth that Jesus Christ is indeed Lord and believe truly in your heart that He has indeed been raised from the dead by God and you will be saved. Do not wait for some breathtaking moment when you are on stage with a gospel singer. Accept Him to be your Lord and personal savior today.
Romans 10:9-10
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
