God is not a man who can be fooled or deceived. He sees beyond the facade that we put up. While man looks at the physical and the deception that has blinded us, God looks at the depth of our hearts. He’s far more concerned with what’s on the inside than He is with on the outside. Don’t think because you have managed to fool man that you have also fooled God. Do not praise God with your mouth while your heart is far away from Him. Do not praise Him out of tradition or religion because that’s not what He is looking for. He is looking for a pure and a genuine heart.
Take a moment and really look deep within your heart and ask yourself if the things you do for God are out of the pureness of your hearts or if they are things you do just so you can appear righteous. Better is the one whom God identifies as righteous than the one whom man identifies as righteous. Keep in mind that God is far more concerned with the condition of your heart than He is with the service of your lips because a heartless praise is just as good as nothing. Do not remove your heart from God and do not lose regard for who He really is in your life.
ISAIAH 29:13
“Then the Lord said, “Because this nation approaches [Me only] with their words And honors Me [only] with their lip service, But they remove their hearts far from Me, And their reverence for Me is a tradition that is learned by rote [without any regard for its meaning],”
