Romans 15:5
May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus.
One of the most disheartening things to see in the body of Christ is discord. It is heartbreaking to see people who are meant to be a representation of God live in disharmony. When the world looks at us they expect us to be different from them. They expect us to have a different stance than they do because we are representing someone great. As followers of Christ backbiting, jealousy, envy are things that don’t speak well of us. Even the world with all its flaws has nigh expectations for us than we sometimes do for ourselves. God wants us to carry peace to the world around us. Through Himself, He wants us to live in peace and harmony with one another.
When we love each other it is obvious just as it is when we hate each other. To love takes less effort and strength than it does to hate. Therefore why waste your God-given strength on discord and chaos? Live in peace with everyone. Find harmony in every space you are presented with. Most of all let Christ be seen in you. Let your life mirror Him, and live a life fitting for a “CHRISTian”
