Matthew 7:26
But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand.
Imagine someone coming to you, and the first thing they say is can you please direct me I don’t know my way around here. You then answer the person, the road on the left leads you to a ditch which goes down into River Montgomery. The road on the right however leads to a main road that connects to freedom highway and that road takes you anyway you might want to go. Immediately after the encounter with this person they take the left road and find themselves dying because they are drowning. What will be said of this person? The sentiment of everyone who hears about this person will be this is a foolish person. Although this may sound so far from you that is how must of us are.
We hear the word of God on a consistent basis. We learn of the things to do and the we do the exact opposite, then we wonder why our lives aren’t going the way we want it. We don’t see life the way we want it most times because we don’t follow the commands of God that will get us there. It is a foolish person will receive instructions and deliberately reject it only to struggle.
Do not disregard the knowledge that God has given you because if you do you will find yourself at the short end of the stick.
