Mattew 25:29 NLT “To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.”
How well do you utilize what you have been given? How much fruit are you beating through that gift God has so graciously given to you?
There are many gifts and talents that God has instilled in each and every one of us. Each and every one of us has something different and unique in us. We are has something special that we alone can do well. However, we often times get so sidetracked by what others have that we lose sight of what God has given us. We get into a place of envy where we do not see the good in what we have but we see greatness in what everyone else has.
Rather than spending time focusing on what others have or what you don’t have, let us practice putting our gifts and talents to work. Practice developing what you have been given. Yes, your gift will make room for you, but you must first fan it into flames and allow God to be glorified through your gifts. Avoid becoming dormant and stagnant and lazy. Each of us has a calling of our own so let us work hard at what we have been given and how best we can use it.
Remember that the one who makes good use will receive more, and the one who poorly manages, even what he has will be taken away from him.
