Matthew 12:34
“Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”
Out of the heart flows all the desires and the doings of one’s life. What the heart has is what the mouth will produce. It is almost impossible to dissociate your heart from the rest of you. Your heart is the most vital part of you. When the heart is dead everything else dies. The hearts pump blood to and from everywhere. With that being said it is imperative that we do not get into the habit of deceiving ourselves. Deceiving ourselves that we do not have to take responsibility for the things we do or of the things we say because they aren’t a part of us.
There are definitely somethings that sometimes cross your mind and you know for a fact that that is not a representation of you. However, the majority of the thoughts and actions are directly from you. We must be brutally honest with ourselves when it comes to the issues of the heart. Be honest enough to accept the condition of your heart. Be honest enough to accept your flaws. If you do not accept the state of your heart and work on it, it can very well be your downfall. The truth remains that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and in the same vein it is out of the heart that we do all things. Check your hearts at all times. Align yourself with God and His word and do not allow yourself to be defiled.
