Psalm 15:32
“Those who disregard discipline despise themselves, but the one who heeds correction gains understanding.”
Discipline of course isn’t fun, especially if you’re on the receiving end of the stick. Discipline is an important element that is needed in life. It is needed for correction, sanity, and uprightness. Those who disregard discipline are indeed those despise themselves. If you love yourself you will equally love discipline because you will understand that discipline is what will keep you grounded and firm in life. If you go through life without any form of discipline you will find yourself in the same cycle over and over again. The cycle of falling and remaining fallen, and the cycle of sin and it’s repercussions.
If you despise discipline your life will be more miserable than anything else. However if you take heed to discipline it brings forth growth. Those who love discipline love their life because they understand that the very discipline they receive is able to shape and alter their lives. Those who take pleasure in discipline gain understanding of this life. They know what it means to live. Discipline is a beautiful things but woe to those whom it eludes. It you do not allow discipline to have its way in your life when it needs to, you will definitely be found wanting. Take heed and give attention to what ever discipline you may be graced with.
