And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groaning’s that cannot be expressed in words.
Sometimes it’s hard. There are times that you have different arrows facing you from all different directions. Times when you feel hopeless. Instances where you sit to talk to God but all you can utter is silence. Similarly there are instances where all you can utter is is tears.
No matter what you are able to offer up, whether pain, silence or tears the Lord hears it all. The Holy Spirit is always by your side uttering your deepest groans to the Father on your behalf. So even when you cannot find the words do not lose hope because the Spirit of God will find it for you. Sit in silence if you have to. Shout wordless screams on the top of your lungs if you have to. No matter what you have to do, the Lord is with you and He can hear you. Even the things you have yet to think of He knows. So the next time you find yourself weak, just know that you are not alone. The Father is keeping watch over you and His Spirit is communicating your deepest thoughts on your behalf. Pray without ceasing. Always pray as if your life depends on it, but be assured that in the moment where you can’t find the words He still hears you.
