2 Corinthians 6:1 AMP “Working together with Him, we strongly urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain [by turning away from sound doctrine and His merciful kindness].”
Receiving grace from God is such a precious gift. Though His grace is such a precious gift we sometimes receive it in vain because we don’t understand what it truly means to have the grace of God. God’s grace is not something we can ever work for or something we can purchase. He gives us His grace out of His own heart and love for us. His grace has nothing to do with our deeds or our abilities but it has everything to do with His Godliness.
Though it’s sad, many of us ignore God and His Word. We receive His word on Sunday and by the time Monday gets here we have already discarded His Word. We have bound His word for Sunday the “holy day” alone but His word is not meant for a mere Sunday but rather for every waking moment of our lives. No matter what, we cannot turn away from the sound doctrine of God because it is what guides our path and keep us in our ways. Any doctrine that is not rooted in the guiding principles of Gods spoken word is no doctrine at all. Always look to God and dive deep and revel in His word. Do not turn away from His Word, His kindness, His grace and all that He is. Search or him through His word and He will surely be found.
