Romans 14:12
“So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.”
You also shall give an account of yourself and all your deeds to God. Have you ever sat down and thought about this fact? The very fact that everything you have done and everything that you will do will one day be opened for questioning. Most individuals do not think about that. We live life so freely and sometimes carelessly because we think that it is our life and we can do what we want. That is however not the case. Our lives do not belong to us and we can definitely no do what we want, how we want it. Our life belongs to God and we all must live in a manner pleasing to the one whom we owe or lives. Your lives should be lived in accordance with the word of God so that you can one day stand before the Lord and answer to Him in confidence.
You will give an account of your life and your works. That is not negotiable. Whether young or old, saved or unsaved you must give an account. The most painful thing will be for the outcome for the saved man to be the same outcome of the unsaved man simply because the saved man was saved only by mouth, not by lifestyle or heart. That will be unbearable for anyone to accept. So ask yourself, what is the difference between me and the unsaved man? And if you are not saved ask yourself what exactly is this world giving to me and where will it end me in eternity.
We have two options in eternity, and that is eternal damnation with the devil and his cohorts or eternal glory in the heavens with the Trinity, the 24 elders, all the angels of the heavens and all our families and loved ones who make it into heaven. The choice is ours, however, it is a choice that we must make right now and right here. Ask yourself about the life that you’re living and where that life is going to lead you. You have to give an account irrespective of who you are. Make sure that you will be proud of the account that you give. Let it be one that opens up a door for you in heaven.
