Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
It is very easy for us as Christians and individuals to find ourselves in a mindset where we believe that we can do it all in our own. Times where we credit our success, our abilities and even our freedom to our own self. We take it as far as thinking that the help we offer others and the strength and ability we have to make impact on others is of our own. However one thing that we have to remember is that as Christians our paths are completely different from that of those in the world. As Christians we do everything in the name of the Lord standing as a representative of Christ Jesus. This means that the things we say, the moves we make, the action we take all have to reflect Christ and it must reflect Him in good light because He is pure and Holy.
We will all have an opportunity to be a blessing in a life at some point in time. We will speak, react, etc. and in all those things we must make sure that Christ is seen and represented well, and glory be given unto our Lord.
Lastly check your ways. If everything you do have to be a good representation of Christ then you need to keep a close eye on the things that you do. For you cannot be a representative when nothing you do represent the one you’ve been called to imitate. Do everything to His glory and He will give you strength.
