Hebrews 4:7
“So God set another time for entering his rest, and that time is today. God announced this through David much later in the words already quoted: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.””
Today is a gift you have been given. Today and what it holds is a privilege that has been bestowed upon you. Today is what you have. Not tomorrow, not next week not next year. Today. Do not live a deceptive life of tomorrows. Do not push everything back to all the later times you have in your head, or all the future that you have planned.
The word of God states that if you hear His voice today not tomorrow, not days from now but today do not harden your heart. We must take the call of God seriously. We can not do whatever we want whenever we want it. We must be obedient to His word because we have today at our disposal. What we have been given is Today, tomorrow is not a promise neither is it a guarantee for anybody.
Therefore let us not plan our lives on what we have no guarantee over. If you hear God calling to answer Him. If you hear him tugging obey Him. Live here in the now because today is your gift. It is what you have so heeded to the voice of the Lord and hardens not your heart for you do not know the time nor the hour that He will come calling. Therefore brother and sister make good use of today.
