Romans 4:16
So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe.
Our God is a God of truth and a God of great promises. Many are the inheritance and the promises he has for his children and none of these things will ever go in vain. He has promised us love, He has promised us a life, He has promised us good health, He has promised us all the blessings in the heavenly places. Having promised all of these things to us, we have the right to enjoy these things, but first we must receive these things through our faith.
Some of us question how we can have all these promises yet we see nothing come to fruition. This is because of our lack of faith. It takes faith to unlock the doors of these blessings, and without faith we cannot access anything. The promises are free gifts but one thy has to be taken with something else. For instance think of a company offering free internet service. The requirement however is that you call the customer service number. The only way to receive is by believing. You cannot in any way sit on your buttocks expecting to receive the service because you will not, unless you call. The work has been done for you all you need to do is call, it’s that’s simple. Similar with this, the work has already been done for you all you need to do is to have faith.
