John 15:2
He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.
Pruning is not pleasant however it is necessary. When one is being pruned it is as though they are being stripped of everything. Nonetheless, pruning is necessary for every believer.
Christ is the vine and as believers He cuts off every branch that does not produce fruit. Anything that does not resemble Him, He takes away. As believers we ought to bear fruits in every area of our lives and in all cases pruning is necessary to ensure we reach where we need to be. Being pruned is indeed painful but without it we cannot live up to our full potential. Do not be angry in your pruning season because the one who prunes you has your best interest at heart. When you are being pruned take it as a privilege and know that your Pruner loves you. Take joy in being pruned and allow yourself to grow in all areas.
