Romans 2:13
For merely listening to the law doesn’t make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in his sight.
Listening can be easy. So easy that some individuals have mastered hearing with one ear while filtering the and throwing the information away with the other. Majority of us can also pretend as though we are listening to a particular thing while our minds are in a completely different space.
As scripture said merely listening is not enough. Especially where the word of God is concerned there has to be some form of action that follows the words or commands we hear. Obeying the Lord requires more than listening, it requires doing. If you think hearing alone is enough, you must understand that it isn’t. You must begin to walk in the commands and the direction of God. Apply yourself and do what the Lord speaks unto you, for hearing doesn’t make a difference if it isn’t followed by an action. Obey the Lord and do all He commands you to do. In whatever you do, be a man or woman of action to the glory of His name.
