Psalms 145:1-2
“I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.”
As you wind down remember Christ in all your thanksgiving festivities. Be sure to thank Him for everything He has done for you and be intentional in your thanksgiving. Thank Him for the grace He has given you. The grace and the abilities that allows you to breath, swallow, blink, think, smell, chew, jump, and rollover back and forth in your bed. The ability you have to reason for yourself, to make decisions, to laugh and to cry. Those little things you do without thinking are all due to His grace. The fact the you do not have to think about walking or talking while doing either of them is because of God.
So as you wind down, and as you have shown gratitude to your loved ones, do not forget to show gratitude to the one who has made it all possible for you. Bless Him and honor Him even for the things that may appear to be a given, because He is the reason for your life and the reason why we have the opportunity to be thankful. Bless Him and honor Him for He is good.
